Framed canvas blocs transform standard canvas prints into contemporary and versatile pieces of art. The distinctive wooden floating box frame creates an amazing look and ensures your image really stands out.
What's the difference between Canvas Prints and Framed Canvas Blocs?
A framed canvas bloc is not just a frame around a canvas. It’s much more than that! Our framed canvas blocs have a 5cm deep, floating wooden frame encasing your canvas print.
The frame sits 1cm out from the edges of your canvas image (see photos), adding depth, contrast and character to your image. Unlike a framed photo, there’s no glass and can be displayed anywhere.

Why Choose Framed Canvas Blocs?
Our framed canvas blocs are very versatile. They are freestanding, so you can simply place the photo block on your desk, in a display cabinet or anywhere, and move it around whenever you want. But you can also hang a canvas block – or several in a row for extra impact – on the wall.
Each Canvas is then completed with a 1cm wide and 5cm deep wooden box frame in your choice of Black, White or Walnut.

When should I choose a Framed Canvas Bloc?
Framed canvas blocks can be used for any type or size of photo or image, but are ideal for:
- Printing and displaying small and medium size image files
- Low-resolution files that can’t be enlarged
- When you’re looking for a unique yet inexpensive gift
- Displaying your standard 6x4inch photos in a modern way
- When you’re bored with ordinary framed pictures
- When you want a creative photo frame for your desk or wall
- You upload your image, select your preferred size (5x5inch up to custom size), fill in the other options and make your payment.
- We print your image onto 100% cotton canvas, stretch the canvas using special 42mm kiln-dried frame bars, and laminate your canvas using UV protection and anti-fungal coating. (For more details about this, see our canvas prints and FAQ pages.)
- With superior finish on the back and the front of the canvas frame, you’re guaranteed a high quality and professional product.
- Your canvas is neatly mounted onto a foam core backing for a clean, professional finish. The photo canvas is then fixed into a contemporary 53mm deep wooden box frame in your choice of black, white or walnut.
- Your box framed canvas photo bloc is securely packaged and delivered to your chosen address.
